This substrate provides a good rooting environment with a good balance of air and water. Amended with a wetting agent to promote an efficient initial wicking, this premium mix is also pH adjusted with limestone and dolomite. Compressing the bale allows for manufacturing and shipping efficiencies; significantly lowering per unit costs for long delivery.

Carolina Gold AFM Peat Moss Substrate is an aggregate free media. Formulated from a blend of canadian sphagnum peat moss. This media is recommended for plants needing more water. It is very suitable for dry and warm environment. It is also suitable for vegetables. Like all other Beltwide’s premium substrates, it is amended with a professional wetting agent and pH adjusted with limestone and dolomite. Compressing the bale allows for manufacturing and shipping efficiencies; significantly lowering per unit costs for long delivery.

 

 The Gold 3.0

 

The Gold is produced and sold in 3 cubic foot loose filled bags. The Gold is manufactured and marketed for the Tobacco producers in the United States. Made from canadian sphagnum peat moss, horticultural perlite and horticultural vermiculite, this soilless mix has been formulated to provide a very good air/water ratio to plants. Adapted for the float system, this media is also excellent to germinate vegetables. Since it is sold in 3 cubic foot loose filled bags, it contains a higher moisture content which makes it easy to work with. It is also amended with a wetting agent for uniform initial wicking. The pH is also adjusted with limestone and dolomite.

The Silver is designed to take advantage of the latest peat processing techniques. We can lower the percentage of high priced aggregates in the substrate; maintain air space and porosity, and the high degree of performance.
